We’re so glad you stopped by. At Mountain View Homestead, our story is as homegrown as it gets. What started as a way to take care of our own families during uncertain times has blossomed into a heartfelt mission to bring our community the very best of what nature has to offer.
The Women
We’re Erin and Kelly—a mother-daughter team behind Mountain View Homestead. This all started because of COVID, when the uncertainty of the world pushed me to take responsibility for my own food security. I brought home my first chickens because I wanted to know without question how my food was raised and that my family would always have at least one reliable source of nourishment.
At the time, like so many, I was also struggling mentally, and the daily routine of tending to a flock gave me structure, purpose, and something to look forward to. When my husband and I moved back to my hometown in 2023, my mom and I began exploring herbal remedies and making our own tinctures, driven by a shared belief that simple, natural solutions still matter.
Behind the Homestead
That curiousity turned into passion as we fell in love with making tallows, tinctures, and wellness products that are clean, effective, and rooted in the way previous generations cared for themselves.
What started as a small backyard flock and a medicine cabinet of all our creations has now grown immensely. The chickens expanded as we learned how valuable and dependable they are. Then came the goats, adding milk, purpose, babies, and a whole new level of responsibility that we take very seriously and in return it brings us so much dang joy. Today, Mountain View Homestead is our combined effort—a practical, intentional life built around healthy food, honest ingredients, and taking care of our family & community the best way we know how.
